A message from Harley Wilkes
Now that elections and hand over has concluded, I would like to take this opportunity to firstly congratulate all of those elected to positions in UDUK, i’m confident that moving forward UDUK is in the right hands to continue to grow and expand.
Secondly, I would like to thank a few people that helped me throughout my four years as president. Firstly, Simon Rimington for his continued support and advice, Mike Britland for the same thing and also listening to me for far to long. To the University of York Darts Club for giving me the chance to be involved in UDUK in the first place. To all the committee I have worked with, especially Ed, Connor, Gobby, Curtis, without you UDUK wouldn’t be anywhere near where it is now. And to anyone and everyone else who has made UDUK what it is today. When I got involved in UDUK it was on its knees, and to be where it is now was a little bit of a pipe dream.
I’m incredibly proud of how far UDUK has come, and to be a small part of the success that it is now is incredibly humbling. At times it was a thankless job, but to see what i’ve handed over compared to where it was when I started is something I am proud of, but it’s something that we can all be proud of.
Thank you for having me for four years, it was a pleasure and I will see you all at the next Big Weekender.
