After a 5-year hiatus, the Big Weekender will return tomorrow evening as the UDUK’s flagship event kicks off in Harrogate. Taking place at the Manhattan Club in the North Yorkshire spa town, the three-day event will see the UDUK’s best talent participate across a pairs, singles and teams event. 140 participants will take part in the event across Friday, Saturday and Sunday, with a £4000+ prize fund on offer. The Friday pairs event will kick off soon after 4.30pm, when registration closes, with 64 pairs participating in all. Among those to watch for a potential run for the title are Ryan Pass (Loughborough) and Janek Hill (Leicester), Phil Want and Toby Saunders (Trent), Daniel Marsden and Ben James (Bangor) and James Buckby and Morgan Shillito (Hallam). Registration will close for Saturday’s singles tournament at 10.30am, with play beginning soon after. Also with their eyes on the title will be Dan Outwin (Northumbria) and Aidan Sutherland (Dundee). A ladies’s singles event will also take place on Saturday following the conclusion of the group stages. Manchester Metropolitan’s Isobel Lee will be hoping to follow up her Yorkshire Classic title with a Big Weekender crown, though York’s Sophie Coombes and Phoebe Fletcher will also fancy their chances. The Weekender will conclude on Sunday with the teams event, with registration again concluding at 10.30am but an earlier finish of 6pm expected. Drinks as well as food will be available in the venue throughout all three days, with a bespoke breakfast menu on offer. Joining UDUK in the venue on Saturday and Sunday will be <a href=\"https://www.eagledarts180.co.uk/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\" style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); background-color: transparent;\">Eagle Darts</a>, who will be selling darts equipment. <a href=\"https://www.facebook.com/p/Sam-Squire-Darts-Coaching-100089658422666/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\" style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); background-color: transparent;\">Sam Squire Darts Coaching</a> will also be in attendance on Saturday to offer paid sessions of support and coaching. Title sponsors <a href=\"https://www.canvas-student.com/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\" style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); background-color: transparent;\">Canvas</a> will also be present, showcasing their range of affordable student accommodation across several of UDUK’s key locations.
